The Great River

Lotro Ranger Hunter Outfit

Update 6 has arrived and with it the new area of The Great River to adventure in. I think they did an excellent job. The landscape is breath taking and I love the little details they added such as being able to go inside the buildings.

One building Dev and I entered while questing in Stangard had a jail cell in it that had working doors. I opened the door and entered the cell to look around. The door shut on me and locked. You couldn’t open it from the inside. How awesome is that! After Devonna giggled and laughed at me for a few minutes she eventually released me. I really appreciate the little details they have added to this update.

I was inspired by the grey colors of the Great River landscape to create this outfit. I am a Hunter who likes to blend into his environment.

Devonna and I are also pretty excited about some of the quest rewards you receive from The Great River. It appears they have used some of the older raid and pvmp armours. I have no idea where I am going to fit more cosmetics in my vault but love the new cosmetic goodies.

  1. Aaah Kedwyr’s ranger outfits are always the best! What a great outfit for the journey along the Great River. Very well set and blended. Love the Elven quiver in this combination!

  2. Great Ranger look, and that first shot is so pretty with his reflection in the water!

I’m excited to hear about the cosmetic goodies, but it will be some time before I’m ready to venture down the River. Any examples coming our way? 😀

  3. Nice job! Hubby & I so enjoy how creative you two are w/ your outfits. Where do you find the room!! O.o I’m struggling w/ that myself! …and my husband just smiles.

Keep up the good work Devonna and Kedwyr!!

    • Thank you 🙂 Space is definitely a challenge. We have many bank alts and the max vault, wardrobe and shared wardrobe space allowed. We still have yet to pick up the new barter wallet but we plan to get that also. Sometimes you just have to let something go 😦

  4. Love the shot of swimming the river on the banner! Also how the grey outfit blends with the landscape. And I do not know how to deal with so many outfits and too little storage either. Better too much of a good thing than the opposite!

    • hehe very true! Ked’s account is older than mine and he has so much more outfitting items to work with than I do on my account. I’d rather have to worry about where to put it all than not having enough. 🙂

  5. LOL Love the story about the jail cell. Must remember never to wander into strange buildings alone – I’d probably never get anyone to get out.

  6. 😀 The Helm is so nice, waaant. I love the background and the feel of this one, it really works and has that roleplaying feel to it that i’ve been feeling with Update 6 while questing. I had to upgrade my Wardrobe yet again another 10 slots with this update but i have a feeling i should have added another 20 more 😛

  7. Is there any way to get that chest piece other than the quest? I’m still in lothlorien so that’s a ways off for me =(

  8. Wow, this is by far the best outfit I have seen on here for hunters.
If only it wasn’t so hard to get…the best mask available to me at the moment is the makeshift rangers mask and I don’t have any dyes. I’m level 27 and I am wandering if you could name any low-level jackets, gloves etc, that look like that one (chain mail type thing) with the north downs or the lone-lands (or somewhere I can just buy from skirmish or vendor)
