“As for the Hobbits of the Shire, with whom these tales are concerned, in the days of their peace and prosperity they were a merry folk. They dressed in bright colours, being notably fond of yellow and green; but they seldom wore shoes, since their feet had tough leathery soles and were clad in a thick curling hair.”
-J.R.R. Tolkien, Prologue, Fellowship of the Ring
This is a Hobbit who makes his home in the Shire. He has never left the Shire and has no plans to ever leave. He is not like those odd Baggins who are always off on some adventure.
I really love this shirt but it’s hard to pair it with anything but it’s matching pants. Often what ends up happening is you look like you are wearing two belts. I dyed the pants in this outfit brown to match the color of the belt on the shirt so that it looks like part of his pants is above his belt.
I chose the Treasure Hunter’s Rucksack because of it’s size. It is smaller than other backpacks in the game and it just looked right with this outfit. I imagine this gentleman out on a shopping trip, thus the need to be carrying his coin with him.
Head: Cloth Hat, dyed Burgundy (Mitchel Delving Light Armour Smith)
Chest: Arth-Crus, dyed Gold (BoE, drops from Isengard instances)
Legs: Scarred Leg-Guards of the Pren Gwydh Warrior, dyed Umber (Quest:Once a Servant, Now a Wizard)
Back: Treasure Hunter’s Rucksack, dyed Olive (Treasure Hunt Event)
Lovely look for a gentleman hobbit. I dislike the shirts that have belts because of the lack of casual pants without belts. I do like how you got around it and will have to try that for the outfit I’m currently working on.
I agree, they really should add more casual pants without belts.
Such a subtle combination again! The yellow sleeves and the yellow rim on the hat, the soft green rucksack and the green feather, the brown leggings and the leather straps… Love it!
Very nice 🙂
I find it tough to match that top too, but this works brilliantly with the colours and i think you picked the right leggings there i love those ones 😀
I just want to add, brilliant job with the pants/belt. Does a fantastic job tricking the eye.
